Just finished watching a show called The House of Food Obsessives.
Here's a link to the show on SBS:

Five people with different food-related disorders went on an experimental psychology-based programme run by Prof. Tim Sharp. I certainly agree with the doctor's approach. I've always known that my food issues stem from psychological issues - bingeing when stressed, bored or depressed. Not exercising because of depression, feelings of hopelessness, etc. I certainly related to most of their issues. The programme seemed to help them all immensely, so there seems to be something in it. Just wish I had the time to really sit down and think about my issues - and everything - but just can never seem to find the time.
